Examining aAlliance through Walt’s Balance of Power: Weak States Aligning with Strong Ones: A Case Study of China and Pakistan
Abstract
This paper aims to (is) explore balance of power concept and then (ii) apply it on Chinese South Asian dominance model (iii) by exploring how alliance with small states like Pakistan is significant for China hegemonic model. The paper shall provide grounds for bridging together how strong states align with small states for their interests and how it benefits the small states as well.
